| Darrell A. Calvillo, Principal Piper |
Darrell started to learn the pipes at age 13. During his
high school years, he played with the Glendora High School Pipe Band which was first instructed by Jeffrey Henderson
and latr P/M Colin Armstrong. As a sophmore, Darrell began teaching and winning prizes in solo competitions. Darrell
was elected to the position of pipe sergeant senior year and was an award winning grade I player by the end of the season.
After graduation, he joined his current band, the James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band under P/M Seumas Coyne. Darrell
was appointed pipe sergeant and quartermaster in 2006
Darrell remains very active with Coyne Memorial, performances, and solo
competitions in the USA and Canada. A couple of his recent accomplishments have been the aggregate solo piping prize
at the Seaside Highland Games in October 2005 and the aggregate solo pipng prize at the Queen Mary Scottish Festival in February
2006.

| Sarah E. Cooper, Oakland, CA. |
Sarah has been piping since she was twelve. She began
her studies with Helen Gladden and the Alameda County Sheriffs Pipe Band. She soon joined the band and played
with them for five years. Sarah was promoted to Pipe Major for the 2002 season. Sarah joined the James
J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band in 2003 and is one of the key players in the band today. Sarah has won many awards
in grade I solo piping and has studied at the College of Piping in Scotland.
Ian Werner is an acomplished solo piper as well as an active member
of the James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band. He was raised in the suburbs of San Francisco and
Berekeley CA. He comes from a long line of Irish and Swedish bagpipers and is a fine exponent of traditional and contemporary
Celtic piping. Ian was first taught at the young age 12 by Ellison Dunlap, followed by Kate Melenyzer, Helen Gladden,
and currently Ian Whitelaw. Ian was a member of short-lived but nevertheless world-renown Alameda County Sherrif's Pipe
Band under direction of Helen Gladden until 1999. Recently in 2006, Ian joined JJCMPB after a seven year absence
from pipe bands.

Our Drummers

| David Boyd, Principal Drummer |

|
David started playing drums at the age of 14. He was first taught by his
older brother Robert Boyd until he joined the City of Glendale Pipe Band and continued his studies with Jim
Wallek. He later joined the 53rd St. Caber Feidh Pipe Band under the instruction of John Davis, where they went to Scotland
for the World Championships in 2000. David joined the LAPD Pipe Band when it was reformed in 2001 under Drum Sergeant
Callum Hannah. When LAPD fell out in 2003, David went with Callum to form the James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band with
Seumas Coyne. David acted as Drum Sergeant from 2004-2006 for JJCMPB while Callum was on leave. David and
also plays with a very fine a Celtic/Folk band, Silent Planet. Dave pl;ays on Pearl drums and uses Eric Ward and Jim
KIlpatrick sticks |

| Greg Lammers, Tenor Drummer/Bugler |
Greg has been playing scottish tenor drum since he was a sophmore in high
school. He got his start playing in the Glendora High School Pipe Band. There was no instructor for Tenor Drum,
so he learned through watching other tenor drummers at the scottish games, picking up one little thing here, another idea
there. Eventually, he developed his own style of visual performance, consisting of influences from numerous different
drummer throughout Southern California as well as the world. Greg
is the lead tenor drummer for the James J. Coyne memorial Pipe Band, under the direction of Pipe Major Seamus
Coyne and Drum Sergeant Andrew Hoinacki. He currently remains undefeated in grade 1 solo competitions, and continues
to improve and develop his style.

| Drum Major Jacy Anderson |
Jacy Anderson is a World Class Drum Major. A graduate and Drum Major
of Chula Vista High School, he has been with groups such as the LA Scots. He has been Drum Major for the James
J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band since 2003.
